About Dipper
I'm building a voice note app that takes its own notes.
Dipper started as an internal tool: I wanted somewhere to dump 20-minute voice memos at the end of the day and get back something readable the next morning. Once I relied on it for my own work, I kept shaping it into a product for anyone whose thinking happens out loud.
Principles
- Quiet by default. No streaks, no gamified pressure, no noisy dashboards.
- Cloud-backed on purpose. Your notes stay available for transcription, playback, search, tasks, folders, and chat.
- Your language stays yours. Transcripts and summaries stay in the language you spoke instead of auto-translating them away.
- Practical organization beats second-brain hype. The goal is simple: help you find what you said and act on it later.
- Your notes are never used to train AI models. Deleting a note removes its transcript, summary, embeddings, and associated audio from storage.
